Deep Recovery Facility
Funding from British Energy Coast assisted us with an exciting new addition to our portfolio. The state of the art engineering/development/training centre was completed in 2014, it is believed to be the largest scale wetted pond research and development facility in the UK. The innovative Deep Recovery facility enables us to offer a range of support mechanisms that contribute to the advancement of pioneering solutions to the decommissioning programme, and offering students a great opportunity to experience industry, working alongside talented engineering professionals. The combining of innovation, specialist equipment, business support, office and administrative services, along with the facility space is designed specifically to encourage high-tech and innovative businesses working in the fields of design, and science-based innovation technology to Cumbria. Our conference facility gives a comfortable and quiet place to reflect on projects and trials.
Forth Engineering have a variety of rig hall and wet bay facilities available including over 300M² of dry rig hall space over three separate buildings and two 30M³ wet bays. Almost all of the rig halls are self-contained, secure buildings which means the rigs can be worked on without interruption or contamination from other processes. As part of the hire of each rig hall we provide bookable conference/training facility, welfare provisions including shower room, tea and coffee making facilities, computer, wifi and internet access. Our engineers are available for rig design and development alongside mechanical and electrical crafts persons for the implementation and operations if required. Further R&D provisions can be integrated into projects including use of our on-site 3D printer for rapid prototyping and proof of concept.
