At Forth, we are always keen to develop the skills and capabilities of our workforce and we continue to invest heavily in the education and training of our staff.
As our branch in Barrow-in-Furness celebrates its fourth anniversary since conception, we are extremely proud of the learning opportunities currently being provided to employees.
Rob Sneesby (pictured right) is Head of Engineering at the Barrow base and has recently achieved his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and is now working towards his Chartership with continued financial and moral support from Forth.
Rob is an extremely talented engineer who we are very grateful to have working with the team, and he has designed and implemented a full Project Management/Engineering control system which will be used by Forth for all its future projects and work scopes.
We are also delighted to have Ben Smith (pictured centre) in the team and we are offering him support as he studies his Bachelors with Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Ben, who we regard as an integral part of developing our business plan to grow nationally and internationally, has recently carried out projects offshore for Forth in the Southern North Sea, and also in Alabama assisting one of our local clients.
Jamie Hodgson (pictured left) is currently training towards achieving his Level 3 Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship, and again is a key part of our current team.
While he had little experience of engineering before joining Forth, he has shown a great deal of maturity in all tasks set and he has proved he has the aptitude and skills to become such a valued member of the team.
All three members of the team are as important to us as anyone working within the company, and it is wonderful to see how those combining their studies with their employment develop so much with the ongoing support of Forth.
As a company, we are extremely passionate about allowing employees to express themselves creatively and develop their skills within the industry, and Rob, Ben and Jamie are the perfect example of how ongoing support and encouragement of individual career progression can benefit our business.
