INSPECTORS delivered a flawless report when they visited Forth Engineering to complete an annual ISO audit.

The business has held ISO 9001 since 2001, and ISO 14001 since 2012. These globally recognised standards provide essential frameworks used to drive and underpin quality and environmental management across the Forth estate.

This week, colleagues across the business’ three Cumbria bases were celebrating after learning their recent inspection resulted in passes with a clean sheet and zero non-conformances.

Graham Cartwright, Projects Director at Forth, said: “This is truly a full team effort, and a testament to the dedication of staff across the business to uphold best practice throughout the project life cycle.

“Maintaining high standards of quality and sustainability is paramount at Forth, not only for delivering excellent products but also for building lasting trust with stakeholders, and I’d like to congratulate everyone in our fantastic team.

“ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 are two globally recognised standards. These robust quality and environmental management systems have a profound effect on our internal stakeholders—namely, the Forth team.

“These standards help create a foundation that ensures confidence across the entire spectrum of operations, from customers and regulatory bodies to investors and employees.

“With our employees actively engaged in quality and sustainability initiatives, their sense of responsibility towards the final product and environmental performance is heightened.

“An empowered team adds another layer of confidence for clients, knowing that the organisation’s employees are committed to the very highest industry standards.”

From its three bases in Flimby, Cleator Moor, and Barrow, Forth Engineering delivers cutting-edge engineering solutions to clients such as Sellafield, TDA, ADAPT, CNSL, BAE Systems, NRS (formerly Magnox), EDF, Spirit Energy, Rolls Royce, and One Subsea. They also serve global markets across the marine, renewable, and agricultural sectors.

In the past year, Forth has increased its turnover by 50%, boosted profits, and expanded its workforce by 20%, providing more local employment opportunities.

The company has made significant investments, including opening a third facility at Cleator Moor’s Leconfield estate and establishing an in-house fabrication unit in Barrow to support BAE Systems projects.
