THE Managing Director of Forth, Graham Cartwright, has shared his delight at being elected as a Director on the Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster (BECBC) Board.
With decades of experience in the industry, Graham brings to the role his expert insights of how to help build and lead a successful engineering SME.
Having joined Forth as an apprentice, he has progressed through the business to the position of Managing Director, and this has given him a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing ambitious companies in West Cumbria. ![]()

His journey will provide the BECBC Board with a wide scope of industry experiences, from managing skills shortages and meeting evolving regulatory requirements to navigating supply chain pressures and long-term competitiveness.
Graham said: “I understand the pressures on SMEs operating in the energy, nuclear and engineering sectors including supply chain demands, skills shortages, regulation and the constant need to adapt.
“Through partnerships such as RESOLVE, I have seen how collaboration between SMEs strengthens capability and competitiveness across our region.”
Graham’s appointment to the Board reinforces BECBC’s commitment to strong industry leadership, collaboration and practical solutions, while ensuring smaller businesses have a clear and informed voice at board level.
